West of Ajijic toward San Juan Cosala is the small lakeside neighborhood of La Canancinta. The area between Ajijic and Jocotepec is more rural with very small farms visible from highway. San Juan Cosala is a small village with thermal hot spring spas. Above the village is the Raquet Club with a complement of homes. This gated community has a clubhouse with tennis courts & a large swimming pool.
