North of Chapala is the Mexican village of Ixlahuacan. Agua Escondida and Buena Vista are two nearby areas of homes. Brisas de Chapala and Chapala Haciendas are complexes of hillside homes with a view. Chapala Haciendas is located on both sides of the major highway. The central town of Chapala has many different residential offerings including homes, condos and apartments. There are many modern shopping conveniences and a large street market every Wednesday. East of the town of Chapala is Vista del Lago. The Chapala Country Club with a 18-Hole (Par 72)  golf course is located within the confines of Vista del Lago.
